Beyond the Walls Fellowship
Fellows partake in nine months of high-level skill-building seminars, advanced communications training, executive coaching sessions, and mentoring to help lead beyond the walls of their own organization. The fellowship is designed for current nonprofit executive directors with significant experience and a desire to guide multi-organizational coalitions, or take action toward public policy or systems change.
Capital Area Foreclosure Network
The Capital Area Foreclosure Network (CAFN) is led by the Nonprofit Roundtable and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Goverments. CAFN brings together key stakeholders to enhance tools and knowledge to combat the region’s foreclosure crisis. The Capital Area Foreclosure Network is action oriented and high energy- our acronym CAFN is even pronounced caffeine! CAFN’s leadership includes representatives from local governments, grass roots organizations, funders, and large national institutions such as NeighborWorks America, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. CAFN is committed to staying pro-active and nimble so we can partner with a variety of organizations and respond to changing needs around the region.

Nonprofit Energy Alliance
The Roundtable, Nonprofit Montgomery, and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, launched the Nonprofit Energy Alliance to negotiate for cheaper and greener electricity for nonprofits in Maryland and the District. So far, fourteen participating organizations are saving an estimated $250,000 compared to standard offer service, and supporting clean sources of energy. Any nonprofit working in Suburban Maryland and/or Washington, D.C. that pays for electricity (as an owner or renter) may be eligible. Participating nonprofits can expect savings of 10 – 15%.
