Table for 10

A Forum for Peer Support
Among Nonprofit Leaders

Two separate Tables for Ten for Executive Directors have been announced.
Members can contact Eduardo if you are interested in participating in either of these Tables or learning more about this program.  (Information about Tables for other staff is found further below.)

In the District, May 28, 2008 facilitated by John Dillow, Executive Director of Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region
. At Palette Restaurant. RVSP to Eduardo.

In the Northern Virginia, September 24, 2008 facilitated by Barbara Mason, Executive Director of Child and Family Network Center. RVSP to Eduardo.

Tables for EDs are open to Roundtable Members. Each group of 10 engages in a series of three monthly lunchtime discussions for candid peer exchange.
The idea behind the Tables is to foster peer support among nonprofit executive directors and others to create a 'safe zone' through a series of three candid monthly lunchtime discussions.  These discussions accelerate familiarity, trust, and bonding among groups of nonprofit leaders - so that we can work more effectively toward common goals.  Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Here is how it works:

1. For continuity, interested parties must agree to participate in all three discussions. The second and third dates are determined at the first meeting. When you RSVP we ask you a) how long you've been in your position and b) two or three topics you would be interested in discussing with other leaders.

2. Group participants set the topics for the three-part series (i.e., each month might have a different topic - boards, staff, communications, etc.). The focus will be on peer exchange about concrete challenges, but the group might agree to a common reading on a given topic (e.g., the Roundtable could supply a chapter or two from the Executive Directors Guide).
