Oct. 12: DC Vote presents the 2010 Champions of Democracy Awards featuring Congresswoman Donna Edwards.

Oct 13: Save the Date! ACT for Alexandria will be hosting their Nonprofit Excellence Forum at First Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA. Jean Case, CEO of the Case Foundation, will be the keynote speaker.

Oct. 16: American Red Cross of the National Capital Region presents the 2010 Fire & Ice Ball benefit gala. The event will honor the Nation's Armed Forces and their families and the American Red Cross Lifetime Achievment Award will be presented to General James T. Conway, 34th Commandant of the Marine Corps.
