- On September 10, Roundtable Members convened with Liz Baumgarten, President of Charity Lobbying in the Public Interest, and a panel of members (Ilir Zherka, Jatrice Martel-Gaiter, and Kerrie Wilson) to discuss advocacy and lobbying by nonprofits.
- On June 6, the Roundtable held its Annual Meeting with Billy Shore, founder of Share Our Strength, as the keynote speaker.
- On April 30, the Roundtable hosted Ruth McCambridge, The Nonprofit Quarterly's editor-in-chief, on a discussion about nonprofit board engagement.
- On March 30, the Roundtable released a Roundtable-commissioned report by the Brookings Institution and George Washington University. The report, Thin the Soup or Shorten the Line: Choices Facing Washington Area Nonprofits, is an assessment of the impact of the current economic and fiscal climate on nonprofits in the region.
- On January 14 and March 5, the Roundtable hosted provocative discussions with Amy Kass, the editor of The Perfect Gift: The Philanthropic Imagination in Poetry and Prose. The conversations revolved around the personal and organizational ethics of charity and philanthropy. These events were cosponsored with the Foundation Center.
