Through the collective efforts of its Members, the Roundtable seeks to build strength, influence, and visibility of the nonprofit sector in Greater Washington. Our almost 200 Members include leaders of advocacy organizations, direct service providers, grantmakers, and corporate partners throughout the District, Maryland, and Virginia.
Roundtable Members contribute their leadership and expertise on issues of critical importance to the nonprofit sector, and to the region. The Roundtable has made significant progress in promoting the value of the nonprofit community, strengthening nonprofit leaders, building coalitions, and facilitating nonprofit-government relationships. For example, our recent report, Beyond Charity: Recognizing Return On Investment - How The Nonprofit Community Impacts Greater Washington uses examples of over 100 nonprofits to illustrate the many ways in which local nonprofits raise the quality of life for all of us. The report was featured in the Washington Post, the Washington Business Journal, among other places.
The Roundtable regularly convenes its Members, creating opportunities for nonprofit Executive Directors and other staff to engage regional leaders, the media and to provide input on issues of regional concern. The Roundtable also hosts peer-to-peer leadership opportunities including through our Fellowship Program, programs for emerging leaders, and our Tables for 10.
Membership dues range from $100 to $5,000, depending on the size of the organization. The Roundtable is not a Membership services organization but works to strengthen the nonprofit community in greater Washington.
