About Us

The Nonprofit Roundtable works to build the strength, visibility, and influence of the nonprofit community in order to create a more just and caring community in Greater Washington. Our Members include advocacy organizations, direct service providers, grantmakers, and corporate partners all working together to solve regional problems.

200 member organizations throughout the District of Columbia, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia help theRoundtable Members at National Press Club Roundtable promote a strong community of nonprofit leaders that understand and strengthen our communities in a uniquely powerful way. Both seasoned and emerging leaders look to us for opportunities to sharpen their leadership skills through high-level, high-quality programs.

As a catalyst of innovative research, collaboration between nonprofits and government, and coalition building, the Nonprofit Roundtable enables nonprofits around the region to improve the quality of life for all of us.

You can read about the Roundtable's work in our
recent reports as well as in recent stories in the Washington Post.

CBean, MSiegel, LMathesThe Roundtable’s Members tackle the range of issues that affect our lives, such as health care, financial literacy, youth development, voting rights, arts education, job training, legal services, and homelessness, among many others. The Roundtable’s staff bring years of expertise and experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in the areas of building strong organizations and creating effective coalitions and cross-sector collaborations.

The Roundtable’s Board includes seasoned professionals from the nonprofit and private sectors who bring finely tuned leadership and wisdom to the governance of our organization.
